Globaleye raises funds and awareness for a good cause… or two

During October, Dubai headquartered Wealth Management company Globaleye supported Breast Cancer Awareness month by organising and participating in various activities to increase awareness and raise funds for Breast Cancer Arabia Foundation – a Dubai-based charitable organisation.

Globaleye Chairman, Tim Searle, offered to dress as a pink ballerina for the day if a donation target of $2000 was exceeded. Tim commented “Breast cancer kills some 12 million people worldwide every year; if my wearing a tutu for one day will help to raise money for a breast cancer charity, I’m more than willing to do it!”

Throughout October the company’s website and social media channels shared news and information about breast cancer, including an interview with breast cancer survivor and Globaleye client Linda Berlot.

Similarly, a group of Globaleye staff took part in the Pink Walkathon organised by Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness Programme.

Globaleye also teamed up with Dubai’s Mediclinic Welcare Hospital to offer their Clients an exclusive 50% discount on mammograms throughout November, as well as donating $100 to Breast Cancer Arabia Foundation for every Critical Illness plan taken out throughout October.

Globaleye marked 31st October as “Pink Thursday”, with staff from their 10 global offices wearing something pink in the office and make a donation. The money raised through this initiative and online donations meant a total of $2386 was raised for the local charity, and Tim, true to his word, spent the working day dressed in his little pink number!

For November, twenty four Globaleye employees are taking part in Movember, growing moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men’s physical and mental health issues, in particular prostate and testicular cancer. Globaleye have also extended their offer of donating $100 to Movember, a registered charity, for every Critical Illness Plan taken out during November.

With Breast Cancer Awareness and Movember resonating well with employees and Clients alike, Globaleye remains set to continue its focus towards a positive contribution to social causes in the coming year.
